Dr.
Debra Pear, owner of Chiropractic
West, has been in private practice
since 2001. Her current practice is
mainly a family practice offering
treatments for patients of all ages.
Dr. Pear’s work is characterized
by her integration of Western chiropractic
medicine with Eastern methodologies,
which allows her to provide patients
with a broader, more effective range
of healing arts than traditional chiropractic
offices. Dedicated to motivating and
educating her patients about healthier
lifestyles, Dr. Pear is known for
spending extensive quality time with
each of her patients.
Dr.
Pear attended Old Dominion University
in Norfolk, Virginia, where she graduated
with a Bachelor of Science in Sports
Medicine. She continued her education
at Cleveland Chiropractic College
of Chiropractic in Los Angeles, California,
receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic
degree. Dr. Pear is also certified
by the California Healing Arts College
for Massage Therapy and continues
to further her knowledge in pursuit
of a license in acupuncture from Emperor’s
College in Los Angeles.
Dr.
Pear’s interest in the healing
arts began at a very young age, when
she volunteered in the physical therapy
department at the hospital where her
mother worked as a nurse. As a high
school athlete, she played many sports,
including soccer and basketball. Sustaining
a knee injury in high school and three
subsequent knee injuries followed
by surgery, her own physical therapy
and rehabilitation led her to major
in sports medicine in college.
A
member of the American Chiropractic
Association and the California Chiropractic
Association, Dr. Pear is also active
in several community
service organizations, including
the Elixir
Fund, Multiple
Sclerosis Society, AIDS
LifeCycle and Los
Angeles Breast Cancer Walk.

A mother herself, Allison has a passion for working with her pregnant clients. She holds a certificate in pre- and postnatal massage. | Having suffered from migraine headaches herself, Allison has great empathy for those who experience the same and can offer relief through techniques such as trigger-point work and deep-tissue massage on the head, neck and jaw. Modalities often used in her massage sessions include Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports Massage, Trigger-point Therapy and Myofascial Release. Allison’s work is deep, specific and delivered with a nurturing touch.
Allison’s most recent massage passion is working with athletes. She developed a deep understanding for working with swimmers and triathletes, after meeting her partner, a swimmer and professional swim coach, in 2007. |
